A Favor Of A Reply Is Requested By.........

RSVP: A French phrase "Répondez s'il vous plaît", that means “Please Respond”. So why haven’t your guest done so after you sent out an invitation for your event.

Mailing back the response card is just common courtesy and unfortunately some guest do not see the urgency of doing this simple but important task. The reason behind it is quite simple, it is not their event! They may not understand that this card determines the head count for the venue, meal quantities, seating and other accommodations that will have to be made, creating a strain for the host/hostess during the event planning process. Here is a tip for BOTH the hostess and guest:

For the Hostess:
Number your guest response cards against your guest list. You will be able to keep track of who and who has not replied. You will also be able to distinguish blank or in illegible response cards and contact the guest accordingly. As you get closer to the date of your event, review your guest list and feel free to contact the guest to confirm their attendance.

The Guest:
Be mindful that the host/hostess is counting on the response card to make the necessary accommodations for YOU. You do not want to show up for the event to later find out that you were unaccounted for because you did not confirm your attendance. Chances are the hostess has provided the necessary postage and all that is required of you is to complete AND return the card promptly. Be courteous and REPLY!!!

Stay tuned for more tips, information and inspiration!!!
